But he is also being accused of a failure of leadership for not turning up at the Green Party conference last week as it debated whether Zionism was Racism.
This evening he was joined by Ed Davey, after a Lib Dem Treasury Spokesman resigned, and is understood to be asking colleagues to join him in a vote of no confidence.
