Zelenskyy slams Putin for sending ‘junior officials’ to peace talks

Ukraine’s president Zelensky has attacked Russia for only sending what he said were "decorative" junior officials to peace talks in Turkey.

Ukraine has indicated that it is prepared to discuss a potential 30-day ceasefire but will only discuss a permanent peace deal with Vladimir Putin himself.

The talks are the first to take place between the Ukrainians and Russians since the early weeks of the war that began in February 2022.
