Zelenskyy speaks at EU summit as European leaders discuss Ukraine war funding

Volodymyr Zelenskyy takes questions from reporters at an EU summit in Brussels as European leaders discuss funding for the war in Ukraine.

There is a unified position from EU member states that Ukraine needs greater financing next year, as it faces a foreign aid deficit of €45 to €50bn in 2026, he says.

Zelenskyy says that if Kyiv doesn’t receive a loan or financial support by the spring, it will need to cut its drone production.
