Britain to be hurled into turbulent weather with soaring heat, wind and rain to hit

Turbulent weather systems spawned in an Atlantic ‘breeding zone’ are about to be hurled into Britain by the jet stream. Swathes of the country face a week of wind and rain as forecasters warn things are about to turn ‘autumnal’. But in a freakish twist, temperatures will rocket as winds sweep in from Portugal, Spain, and the Canary Islands.
