Watch live coverage from Downing Street, where Andy Burnham will today become Prime Minister.
He is replacing Sir Keir Starmer and pledging to give struggling households some "breathing room" on the rising cost of living.
In his first speech as prime minister, Burnham is expected to urge the country to be honest about the challenges it faces and call for "reflection and resolution".
Starmer will deliver his final address as prime minister on Monday morning, before he and Burnham visit King Charles in Buckingham Palace.
Against the backdrop of the UK having had seven prime ministers over the past decade, Burnham will warn he is "acutely conscious" of the need for more stable and responsible politics, pledging to restore faith in government.
Before the speech, Starmer is expected to make his own address outside No 10 before heading to Buckingham Palace to formally resign before Burnham meets the King to “kiss hands” and be appointed prime minister.
